The only specialist diploma courses designed specifically to individuals who would like to become instructors. our parent organisation the English weight lifting federation endorses and encourages good coaching practise, and recognises the need to recruit instructors from a diverse cross section of society. many of those we have taught belong to different sports governing bodies, and yet have learnt much more from our courses.
Indeed in the current social climate we find ourselves in, being qualified is no longer a luxury, but rather pure necessity. law suits dominate our society, and anyone who teaches anywhere in the world of sport simply must know what they are doing, or face the idea of being taken to court because unqualified instructors leading to an accident or injury. we have already encountered students who have been on the wrong end of the compensation culture.
